Not very good at all. It was very bland and dry. We will not be back, disappointed since it was my birthday.

First and probably only visit to this restaurant.Went here while passing through town on the recommendation of a coworker.Wait about 15 minutes for a table (for four) when the restaurant was dead.Had the Adobo Taco Salad. It was small, greasy, and over priced. We had to hunt down a server to take our order and then waited over 30 minutes. No complimentary chips & salsa here either. Will stick with the small Mom & Pop Mexican eateries . . .

I go to Sedona twice a year for few days and always stop in at Oaxaca for a terrific Mexican meal. The room settings are unique and staff friendly.

I think it's important that Oaxaca manages their message accurately. Google has Oaxaca listed as providing "take out," but they are NOT providing take out. I know this sounds petty, but accuracy of messaging is mportant - especially when the public relies on your words when making a decision. If you are NOT providing take out, DO NOT claim that you are. Manage the message. State facts. This makes me wonder about the quality of your food.

We ate here tonight with friends and everyone agreed their dinners were delicious! I had the chili Verde with pork and it was the best I've had in awhile. The service was excellent, no waiting at all and our server was very attentive. We will definitely go back!

The restaurant is in a good area. There are a lot of shops around, and there are some lovely views. The price of the food was reasonable, and had it been good it would have been a stellar deal. However, the food was very underwhelming. The selection isn't terrible and while they do have a lot of options when the rice is the best part of your meal something is seriously wrong. There are plenty of restaurants in Sedona that have much better food, and I will gladly recommend any of them over this place. Seriously, do your research before eating here. If you're in the mood for Mexican food there are plenty of them in the area that are much better.

It's Mexican food in Sedona. You pay a lot for what you know you'll get. If you are here you could do worse but don't go out of your way to go here. It's fine, not bad at all but nothing remarkable.

I thoroughly enjoyed everything we had there. It was different from the general Mexican restaurant flavor but I knew I was eating healthy so I expected a slightly different flavor. We took home3the leftovers and enjoyed them later.

Not handicap friendly. After we were seated the only person that came to check on us was a buser to bring chips and salsa. We waited 15 minutes, after 2 bowls of chips, and not even a drink order... We decided to bail after numerous staff failed to take our order. It seemed they actually avoided us. We went across the street to 89 Agave and they rocked it. Food was delicious and the service was tip top!

Always a good experience here. The shredded beef or chicken is my personal favorite. Our server was great tonight, while celebrating an early Birthday dinner! Been coming here since the beginning...

Let me explain! The restaurant setting is quite appealing, outdoor dining offers great views, staff is very courteous and professional. I ordered a vegetarian burrito. This came with a large serving of rice covering half my plate and a tablespoon of diced tomato and iceberg lettuce. The burrito was also stuffed with a huge amount of rice. It also had a thin layer of black beans and a 1/4 sliced avocado inside, some pickled corn on the side. That's it! I mean, how much rice can one possibly eat in one setting? My friends ordered the shareable sampler which was left pretty much untouched. It was deep fried. Chicken enchilada was a pass, per our other friend. I get really annoyed when a restaurant labels "vegetarian" but omits to put any veggie in the dish. Rice and beans only lacks of imagination.

So we went down 89a because four different strangers recommended it, and it is a gorgeous drive. You start out in the sandstone layers and end up in the Red Rock. At the bottom is a quiet town called Sedona. We ate at the Oaxaca Restaurant in the outdoor dining area and was afforded some of the best view in the valley. The food was so good. The chips and salsa were made from scratch. I wanted to take some home with me. The entrees were affordable and tasty. Some of the best rice I've ever had. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The server told us some of the best places to go, and took a pic of my husband and I with that magnificent back drop.

Eh. I grew up coming here since the 80s and it was awesome then. Now, not so good. They walked us back with menus to our table but kept us waiting a good 10 minutes before taking our orders. It wasn't that busy either....food was okay but over cooked and not what I call Mexican food like they used to serve.

I visited here before, so I knew I wanted to come back! The food was as good as I remembered. This place is quaint and a neat place to go in the middle of shopping. I was not pleased that street is now paid parking... Are you kidding me?

Great food and service. Was thrilled to see they are open and abiding by strict COVID-19 guidelines. There was a bit of a wait for the brunch rush (you have to wait outside), but you can go to the bar to get a drink "to go" outside and wait...

Not very good. The enchilada sauce was burned. The sopapillas Mexicali tasted like it had been sitting out for a couple of hours then got microwaved right before it came out. There are waaay to many places to eat around here to stop by this place.

I just passed by this time but I have a certain regularity there. If you are in Uptown Sedona it is the best Mexican food restaurant and the service is as good as the very best places in Mexico. It beats World Class.

Went to go eat there last night. The restaurant and decor was pretty. The food was bad. The tostadas were stale. And the shells used for the tacos were stale as well. The only thing good about the food were the chips and salsa other than that way overpriced for the food they put out. Also the name of the restaurant is Oaxaca. Maybe add some Oaxaca cheese to the menu to compensate for the name

The food is overpriced for the quality of food offered. I like their breakfast menu, but lunch and dinner are not good. I had the enchilada platter and the sauce was obviously canned sauce and of very cheap value from the way it tasted, the tortilla was cold and it was stuffed with cold cheddar and mozzarella cheese. It also said it was stuffed with avocado (overstatement) mine had two slices. My husband had the beef fajitas and they were meh... Go here for drinks only. Save your money and go to Filibertos because you'll get the same quality of food for half the price. If you know true Mexican food you know how things should truly taste. You can tell that a lot of the ingredients are not fresh and are canned ingredients.

The food was decent, comfortable but not amazing. Service seemed a bit confused and was slow. It didn't look like this is the place where the locals go. I'd go back if someone invited me or something, but here in Sedona there are better places to eat if you're looking for a good restaurant at reasonable prices.

Usually I am never a picky eater but honestly from a 1-10 I give Oaxaca Restaurant a #2. You can taste that the beans come from a can and the rice was very undercooked. My go to place will always be Tortas Del Fuego!!!

Lovely little place with wonderful views and outdoor seating, the staff was truly kind. I loved the interiors. Our food: lunch burrito and enchilada plate were very colorful and flavorful. I’d definitely come back. Good vibes!

This place has ok food.. or as my wife said it "I ate it". There whole menu is price to high for the type of food and drinks served but it seems to be a trend over in this area. Service is a bit off. Sometimes they miss drinks and request. Bathrooms: Girls - very clean smell nice. Guys - was dirty looked like it hasn't been cleaned in awhile.

Lovely place to eat with a great view of the city. Staff very friendly and a great service given. The day was very hot so the restaurant had these wonderful sprays of mist keeping us cool. Highly recommend!

Service receives a 5. Chips & salsa gets a 5 (best.salsa.ever), beef taco a 3 & cheese enchilad a 2. Jalapeno rice a 4. So it vets a 4 overall. Thes BEST cheese enchiladas are found in Salt Lake City at the Cancun Cafe between 700 & 900 E on the N side of 3900 S. Great food all around, but I've been all over the west & Cancun Cafe is the best!

Came into this restaurant after a mild hike and we were hungry. I ordered the Taco salad with carnitas, the meat was tasty but unfortunately the lettuce looked like it was sitting for a while, It did not look fresh. Over all the service was good and my experience was fine. I'm not sure if i would return again.

Questions & Answers

Good service and good food.

I saw it had vegetarian options, but not a gluten free section maybe upon request they can accommodate something

Nope, you don't want to eat there anyhow.
